Within a compressed time frame, Marie helped us secure the ideal condo in Evanston for our son. We were out-of-state buyers with limited knowledge of the Evanston area and searching in a market that still remained competitive, so we partnered with Marie. Because we only had a week to physically be in town, Marie touched base with us prior to our visit to find out exactly what kind of condo fit our needs, explained the current market conditions as well as the buying process in Illinois, and crafted a game plan to maximize our time in Evanston. She always gathered intelligence from the various Seller’s agents to give us important details about the property prior to touring and shared her candid evaluation about each condo we saw together. As soon as Marie was informed that our ideal condo had multiple offers, she helped us craft a solid offer that would be competitive but still allow us room to negotiate during the attorney review process. Our offer was immediately accepted and Marie hooked us up with her network of attorneys and inspectors, while also taking the time to show us units in other neighborhoods to give us perspective. Since we were unable to be present at closing, Marie offered to hold the keys to our unit until our next visit and even checked on the condition of our unit post-closing to make sure it was okay during our absence. Marie helped us buy our first home and we cannot say enough good things about the experience of working with her. When we first met Marie she gave us a comprehensive overview of what the home-buying process looked like in the current market (around May 2022), and was able to answer all of our questions without overwhelming us. She was so patient with us as we figured out what we wanted in a house, and understood completely when we changed our mind and realized we actually wanted something much smaller than what we had originally planned for. She was responsive and communicative when we identified homes we wanted to tour from the fantastic list she curated for us, and she even arranged for us to be able to see a property with a trusted associate when she was out of town so that we could see it the day we expressed interest!
